Meet Midwife Brandi

Hi, I’m Brandi. It took me into my 40’s to finally fully settle on what I wanted to be when I grew up. I am a wife and a proud mom of 6 children ranging a 20 year span. My husband and I run a small homestead and farm with Alpacas, Goats, Sheep, Chickens, and Pigs. Oh, and I can’t forget about all of the field cats I can’t let go hungry.

I started researching and looking into homebirth and how to become a midwife over 22 years ago, after witnessing my friend have a homebirth. I became even more passionate after having my own first homebirth with my 3rd child. I went on to have 3 more babies in the comfort of my own home.

Throughout the years I have continued to research and study birth, herbs, and assisted family and friends with their births. I was unknowingly acting as a doula. I felt the pull towards midwifery and after my 6th sweet baby was born, the timing felt right. Midwife Brandi was born.

I have been practicing as a homebirth midwife for 2 years, and I have had the honor and privilege of attending to over 60 mothers during their sacred journey of childbirth. My philosophy centers around empowering women to birth in the way that feels most natural and authentic to them, with minimal interventions and a deep respect for the innate wisdom of the birthing process.

I am a firm believer in the divine nature of birth, I see myself as a guardian and guide for mothers as they bring forth new life. True informed consent is at the core of my practice, ensuring that mothers are empowered to make decisions that align with their intuition and desires for their birth experience.
